Last week, an official teaser poster for Christopher Nolan’s Inception was revealed to fans who created their own mazes at YourMindistheSceneoftheCrime.com and were able to finish them. What was not known, is that a second poster is revealed when you are able to make it through a maze created by someone else! If you want to try for yourself, you can run through mazes created by others by going here and just changing the number where it says “maze=1″ in the URL.

I had time to add plenty of  film stills, promotional and on set photos to the gallery. You can check them out here. “The Man in the Iron Mask” is definitely my favorite movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, I think he did an excellent performance!

Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio will present the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Martin Scorsese at the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards, which will be broadcast live by NBC from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Jan. 17.

De Niro has a long association with the director, stretching back to 1973′s “Mean Streets” and encompassing “Taxi Driver,” “Raging Bull” and “Goodfellas.”

DiCaprio has appeared in such Scorsese films as “Gangs of New York,” “The Aviator” and “The Departed” and will next be seen in the director’s upcoming “Shutter Island.”

Dreamworks Animation announced today that Leonardo DiCaprio has joined his first animated feature film, their upcoming release The Guardians. This is not to be confused with the Zack Snyder directed Warner Bros. release The Guardians of Ga’Hoole, as DiCaprio will be voicing Jack Frost. And Jack Frost is clearly not an owl.

Directed by Peter Ramsey (a story artist who has worked on Shrek the Third, Fight Club and other fine films), The Guardians tells the story of a group of holiday heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — who band together to take on an evil spirit called Pitch, who dares to take over the world by inspiring fear into the hearts of its children. The film will show that these “Guardians” are more than just holiday icons, all possessing special powers that will come in handy against this new form of evil.

It’s all based on a series of “highly anticipated” books by William Joyce. An interesting concept, to say the least — but fitting amongst the middling fare of Dreamworks Animation’s slate. Then again, I could be wrong — this could be the next Kung Fu Panda, but with Santa. The Guardians is scheduled for release on November 2, 2012.

Check out a couple of new photos for SHUTTER ISLAND which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, Jackie Earle Haley, Elias Koteas, Patricia Clarkson, and directed by Martin Scorsese.

Shutter Island Synopsis: From Oscar®-winning director Martin Scorsese, “Shutter Island” is the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Chuck Aule (Mark Ruffalo), who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

Shutter Island will be released to theaters on February 19, 2010. You can also watch the trailer here.

Can’t wait to watch Leo’s newest movies!

The 11th Annual Butt-Numb-A-Thon (BNAT 1138) recently finished up at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas. For those unfamiliar, it is a 24-hour film festival in celebration of Harry Knowles (of AICN)’s birthday. The invitation-only (by application) event features secret premieres, clips, and other entertainment. The top programming included a premiere of Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island as well as early screenings of Kick-Ass, Avatar, Micmas, and Frozen. The new Iron Man 2 trailer was shown as well. Check out some reviews/impressions I’ve rounded up for the most well-received films, Kick-Ass and Shutter Island, as well as the full line-up and a recap by Knowles himself.

5. 1st screening of Martin Scorsese’s very nearly completed SHUTTER ISLAND, which I wrote a terrible review for – due to being rushed in my craziest week to get it up. I personally didn’t want to write one till after a second viewing. Brilliant movie – and thinks anyone that spoils anything of this film should be locked in a cell with Jackie Earle Haley. This film blew a lot of folks away! LOUD applause afterwards and great lobby buzz. Continued Child Death (multiple varieties) and Locket theme and Woman obsession.

Personally I can’t wait to see this film!

Mel Gibson will direct and Leonardo DiCaprio will star in an untitled period drama about Viking culture. William Monahan is writing the script.

Graham King will produce with Gibson and Tim Headington in a co-production of King’s GK Films and Gibson’s Icon Prods. Shooting is expected to begin in fall 2010, meaning that if everything falls into place, it would be the next directing effort for Gibson.

There is no distributor at the moment, but Gibson and King often make their films outside the studio system and secure distribution later.

The principals confirmed the project but would not divulge many details. DiCaprio, who has long been fascinated by Viking culture, will play one in a storyline that will be as unsparing as Gibson’s other period directing efforts, “Braveheart,” “The Passion of the Christ” and “Apocalypto.”

The connective tissue is King.

The producer teamed with DiCaprio and Monahan in the Oscar-winning drama “The Departed” and just worked with Gibson and Monahan in the Martin Campbell-directed drama “Edge of Darkness.” King also just produced Monahan’s directorial debut, “London Boulevard,” the Monahan-scripted adaptation of the Ken Bruen novel, with Colin Farrell and Keira Knightley starring.

The Viking film will be DiCaprio’s first picture with Gibson.

“This will be an awe-inspiring story, created with some of the industry’s finest cinematic talent, and I am just over the moon to be making this film with Mel, Leo and Bill,” King said in a statement after the principals confirmed the project to Daily Variety.

Aside from “London Boulevard,” King and his GK Films just completed “The Rum Diary” with Johnny Depp and Aaron Eckhart and Emily Blunt starrer “The Young Victoria,” latter of which is being released this month by Bob Berney’s Apparition.

DiCaprio will likely take a film before putting on the Viking horns. He just completed the Christopher Nolan-directed “Inception” for Warner Bros. and will next be seen in the Martin Scorsese-directed “Shutter Island,” which Paramount releases Feb. 19. Gibson just completed the Jodie Foster-directed “The Beaver.” Gibson and Monahan are repped by WME, DiCaprio by Rick Yorn and Jennifer Killoran.

Alright here is the question I pose – I don’t want to put up any pictures in our gallery or on our site of Leo in his personal life. For instance a picture of Leo with his girlfriend lounging on the beach. I mean who’s business is that but Leo and his company?

Now what do you think about pictures on set filming? Or like this one taken Dec 4th at a Lakers game? Please let me know what you think!
