Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese had been trying to bring an adaptation of Jordan Belfort’s tell-all memoir, “The Wolf of Wall Street,” to theaters since 2007. Martin was set to direct the film, and Leo was to play Belfort, a New York stockbroker who landed in prison for refusing to cooperate in a 1990s securities fraud case. But the project stalled, and DiCaprio and Scorsese went off to make “Shutter Island.” Now the film is supposedly getting another shot, and director Ridley Scott is in early discussions to helm “Wolf. The film is reportedly similar to Leo’s 2002 movie Catch Me If You Can.
“It is funny, dramatic and fast paced, and manages to make something of a sympathetic character out of a stockbroker who supervises a cadre of brokers who squeezed clients to buy stocks that paid off — for the brokers, who used the funds to live extravagantly until they were brought down by the feds,” Deadline’s Mike Fleming wrote.
The only thing standing in the way of production is scheduling. Scott is plowing ahead on his 3-D “Alien” prequel and DiCaprio’s next role is “Hoover,” the biopic directed by Clint Eastwood.
Stephen Spielberg
There’s no arguing that Stephen Spielberg is a great director, and the DiCaprio-starring 2002 flick “Catch Me If You Can” was his highest rated film of the 2000′s. Let’s face it: DiCaprio and Spielberg are bound to work together again eventually, so why not expedite the process?Danny Boyle
“The Beach” wasn’t the greatest movie of all time, but Danny Boyle has come a long way since that DiCaprio-starring film. With an Oscar under his belt for 2008′s “Slumdog Millionaire” and some unique, edgy work in “28 Days Later” and “Sunshine,” we think a partnership is worth another shot.Baz Luhrmann
Back before Jack had stolen Rose’s heart, DiCaprio was busy stealing Juliet’s in Baz Luhrmann‘s 1995 flick “Romeo & Juliet.” Sure, “Australia” wasn’t the best, but “Moulin Rouge” was a crowning accomplishment, and we’d love to see DiCaprio try his hand at some song and dance numbers.Christopher Nolan
Alright, so we haven’t seen “Inception” yet, but early buzz says it’s amazing, so we’re hoping that there will be a new film on DiCaprio and Christopher Nolan’s mutual horizon soon — maybe in the “Batman” universe?James Cameron
This is a no-brainer: James Cameron made Leonardo DiCaprio. Prior to “Avatar,” Cameron’s “Titanic” was the highest grossing movie of all time. It only makes sense that they would work together again to create something just as awe-inspiring.Honorable Mention: Edward Zwick
Though “Blood Diamond” is a great film that shed light on the crisis that happened in Sierra Leone in the 1990s, we feel DiCaprio would fare better by expanding his horizons instead of returning to gritty period pieces.

Acclaimed filmmaker (The Dark Knight) Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in “Inception,” an original action blockbuster that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.
Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the best in the dangerous art of extraction: stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse; their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime.
