Helium thinks Leo’s new movie Inception should deserve an Oscar, I certainly agree with them. Check out the following reasons on why Helium thinks it. Do you agree with them?

The first, and largest reason Inception deserves an Oscar, is its wonderful and detailed plot. Without giving much away, the plot centers around DiCaprio as a man who can enter dreams and steal information. To regain his life however, he has to pull off a much more complex task within a dream, this action is called Inception. The film is a cross between a psychological thriller, heart breaking love story, and classic heist film. The combination of these genres, can only be described as utterly fantastic, having one at the edge of their seat and emotionally involved throughout the film. Combined with the amazing cliff hanger ending, Inception is a masterpiece on par with Kubrick himself.

Another reason for Inception’s sheer greatness, is the fact that everyone manages to play their part so well. I wouldn’t go as far to call Inception completely plausible in real life, however every actor manages to make the film flow so well, and almost make it all completely believable. DiCaprio and Ellen Page especially make the film worthwhile. A shout out also has to be made to the writing, for inventing some great and witty dialog that fits each character perfectly.  With this great writing, all of the characters literally come to life.

Finally, what really makes Inception come together, is the great editing and special effects done by Chris Nolan. The effects and details of sequences that involve dreams inside of dreams are simply stunning. One scene especially stands out in my mind as an awesome example of these effects. The scene involves a character named Arthur having a zero gravity fight with security guards, in a hotel corridor that is constantly shifting. The flow of this scene embodies what Inception is all about, and really what that is, is perfection on every level imaginable.
